Hillary Gracia
Hillary began piano at four and obtained her DipABRSM at sixteen, going on to complete Suzuki Piano Teacher Training. At the 5th ASEAN Chopin Competition she won Gold and Best Overall Performance, and was later invited to perform at the Petronas Towers for former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.
She is a member of the NUS Piano Ensemble and a recipient of its flagship concert, TOUCH (2025 and 2026), and studies Harp Performance at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory under Mrs. Gulnara Mashurova, principal harpist of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. She regularly performs with the NUS Chinese Orchestra and NUS Chamber Singers, and is pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at NUS alongside a Second Major in Performing Arts (Harp).
Inspired by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's philosophy that every child can learn music, I believe lessons should be a joyful and encouraging experience where students feel safe to explore and grow. Rather than focusing solely on perfection or competition, I guide students towards using music as a form of expression, creativity, and collaboration, while building strong foundations and confidence along the way.
