Jocelyn

Jocelyn began her musical journey at seven and has since developed a strong passion for collaborative music-making and music education. A dedicated pianist, she holds the Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) Piano Performance Diploma with Distinction, and has won Second Prize in the Piano Solo (Diploma Division) at the Euroasia Youth Music Festival 2025 and Silver in the Piano Duet category at the 11th Singapore Raffles International Music Festival.

An alto in an external chamber choir, she values the collaborative side of music-making, and has worked as a freelance piano teacher and a teaching assistant at The Music Circle. She graduated with a Diploma in Music Teaching from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where she was twice on the Dean's List, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Instrumental and Vocal Teaching at NAFA in collaboration with the Royal College of Music (RCM), London.

Inspired by Leonard Bernstein's view of music as a powerful form of communication, I encourage students to see music as a means of self-expression while building confidence and understanding through steady growth. I believe every student has their own musical voice, and my role is to help them develop it with confidence and clarity. Through supportive guidance and structured learning, I hope to nurture both musicianship and personal growth, so students discover real joy and meaning in their music-making.
